OUr HUBS
Our Youth Hubs are a welcoming space for young people aged 16-24 to access employment support, careers advice and employment opportunities. From CV help and interview preparation to finding jobs, apprenticeships and skills development, our advisors are here to help you build confidence and take your next step into employment, education, or training.
What we offer
Our employment specialists are here to help you get into work and promote sustainable employment. We can help you with CV and cover letter writing, interview skills, confidence building, and more.
At the Hubs, you will receive personalised employment advice. First, we will conduct an initial assessment with you to understand what your goals are, followed by the creation of a personal action plan to outline what steps will help you achieve them! We will then work through these steps with you, to ensure you can access all the support you may need.
We also have connections with employers across Somerset to help you find the right workplace for you. You will have the chance to learn about the local job market, discover exciting volunteering and work experience opportunities, and meet directly with employers.Â
Additional services
Onsite, we have specialist services to help you address potential barriers to employment, including housing experts, mental health and wellbeing coaches, and skills and training advisors. We also work with local businesses and employers to run regular drop-in sessions and workshops, to help you find the right employer.Â
Why is this important?
At SBA CIC, our core values are Education, Enterprise, and Employment. We believe every young person deserves the opportunity to build a secure and successful future. Sustainable employment plays a vital role in helping young people develop valuable skills, gain confidence, achieve financial independence and establish a lasting career. Our Youth Hubs are committed to helping young people overcome barriers to employment and connect with the training and support they need to thrive.Â
